1984年尾, 由歌手 Bob Geldof 和製作人 Midge Ure 為了替非洲衣索比亞正遭逢大飢荒的難民募款,
召集了八十年代英國最當時得令的歌手和樂隊, 包括有U2, Duran Duran, Paul McCartney, Sting,
Phil Collins….等人，共同組成了一支臨時的超級團體 -Band Aid. 義唱“Do They Know It’s Christmas?”
而單是“Do They Know It’s Christmas?”這張單曲就銷售了五千多萬張, 為飢民募得一千多萬美金的基金.

那一首 Do They Know It’s Christmas, 我一直覺得比美國的四海一家 We Are The World 還令人動容,
雖然, We Are The World 在台灣的知名度一直都比 Band Aid 還高.

而我, 每當 Christmas 到了的時候, 總是會想起這首歌
